Don't judge me....

My scrubs at work don't exactly fit me the same way they used to. They still fit me but I have to wear the bottoms lower on my hips, so when I curl up in my chair at work trying to get comfortable, my underwear hangs out a couple of inches. And I don't really mind because nowadays it's alllll about getting comfortable, any way possible! It's not an easy task. I can't wait until my clothes fit me again :( I really miss buttoning up my jeans. Speaking of clothes, little girl's clothes are the CUTEST!!!!! An awesome friend surprised Sophia with some new clothes for her when she starts to breath oxygen!

Ahh Can't breathe! Can't wait to put Sophia in her outfits!

Since we found out the gender of little babay, we've been looking at nursery furniture and decor. I think I should be able to put together a little sample of how the nursery will be decorated pretty soon. It's like wedding planning all over again. I want to look at furniture, bedding, clothes, decoration, gadgets for little Sophia all day long!

It's a GIRL!

Yesterday we had our anatomy scan and found out we are having a beautiful little angel!!! We are both so excited and Angelo is especially excited to one day have to scare off some boyfriends knocking at our front door :) He's in for a wild ride isn't he?! Reminds me of this scene from Bad Boys II starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Sorry about the language in advance. hehe

Little Miss Princess will be named Sophia _______ Metallo. Middle name TBD. Canidates for the middle name include Blake & Harper so far. Harper is in the lead.

I broke the news to Rome & Bella once we got home yesterday evening. I don't think they were too excited...Rome just turned 1 year old on the 16th, so I'll take his lack of excitement as him not grasping the concept. lol I did get a tail wag from Bella, but she wags her tail at everything, especially when Rome gets yelled at.

Time for this weeks status report!
How far along? 20 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain/loss: I haven't weighed myself since I hit the 10 lb weight gain mark earlier this week. To my offense, I weighed myself after chowing down all weekend and my boobs have to account for ATLEAST 5 of those pounds. Haha! My response to the scale from this day forward is, "Whatever..."

Maternity Clothes: Just the Tummy Sleeve still.

Stretch marks: No

Sleep: Need to go get myself that big wrap around body pillow! Angelo tried to help by shoving a pillow behind my back for comfortable. He's great isn't he?

Best moment of the week: Seeing our little girl at the ultrasound! She's 10.3 inches long & 12 oz. Right on schedule!

Movement: Yep, usually around mid-late afternoon.

Food Cravings: Nothing new, Airhead cravings are going away. I only ate 2 this week!

Gender: GIRLfriend!

Labor signs: None

Belly button in/out: In

What I miss: Couldn't have a drink to celebrate last night, so I replaced it with a few more Cheese Fries from Outback. haha

What I'm looking forward to: We're going to look at furniture for the nursery today! This will be the first time going to the baby store since I found out I was pregnant. Hopefully I don't go too crazy.

Weekly Wisdom: School/career will always be there for when I'm ready & fashion trends change seasonally. My goals this year have drastically changed and all I want to do is bring this healthy baby girl into a happy loving home. There's only 1 first word & 1 first step, and I want to be there to cherish every moment.

Milestones: Checkpoint! 20 weeks pregnant and half way to the finish line!
Baby Sophia is about the size of a Cantaloupe!

Luck of the Irish

Happy Friday! Yesterday was St.Patty's Day and we spent it with wonderful friends at a local Irish bar, O'Briens. No green beer or corn beef and cabbage for me!

Today I was told that I should angle the mirrors in my house to give me more of a "lean" look while I'm pregnant so that my body image doesn't take a nose dive. Well, since I don't live in a carnival fun house with all those illusionary mirrors, I think I'll try other things like repeating to myself that this is a very temporary thing and one day I will again have control over my cravings! :-/ It's not like I'm craving Big Macs and french fries but the candy cravings can be just as damaging. I recently had a minor freak out when I couldn't find the last airhead in my purse. I cursed that stupid big black hole that I call a purse, until my rage magically turned into pure glee when I found my beloved Pink Lemonade flavored Airhead. What mood swings?

"Welcome to the club"

My husband and I found out that our lives would be changed forever on December 20, 2010. When we went to the doctor to confirm, we were told the "bun in the oven" had been cooking for 2 months and the due date is August 11, 2011. My nerves were calmed at the news by the silly smile on my husband's face that wouldn't go away. I knew from the very beginning, the best was yet to come.

Before I found out we were expecting:

I enjoyed running my daily 3-4 miles with my husband.
We went out to restaruant/bars with friends basically every weekend.
I ate a greek salad with feta cheese at least once a week.
I would go shopping and buy shirts, dresses, shoes ALOT.
I didn't know how much I enjoyed sleeping.
I could blindly pick something out of my closet to wear and it would fit.
We drank a bottle of wine with our homemade pizzas.
I looked forward to "bikini weather".

Now that we are expecting:

I feel weird/achy running more than 1 mile at a time
Dinner and movies at home is better than going out.
My greek salads are ordered without the fet,a but close my eyes to imagine there''s feta on my fork.
Shopping trips aren't much fun anymore unless I'm in the baby section, but then I get frustrated that we don't know what I'm having yet.
DO NOT MESS WITH MY SLEEP.
I'm not sure if the clothes in my closet fit. I'm too scared to find out.
Homemade pizza is enjoyed with a ice cold glass of water or if I'm feeling adventurous I'll drink some lemonade.
Not to be a Debbie Downer or anything but I really wouldn't mind if it rained all summer long. I don't want to see you in a bathing suit and I don't want you to see me in the bathing suit. :)
