You know you're pregnant when...

Dessert has become a must-have! Brownies with ice cream is almost always available in my house.

Your mood is 99% determined by how comfortable your clothes are. If my pants are digging into my stomach, don’t even talk to me.

When you get totally winded/tired out of nowhere. I’ll be short of breathe just laying in my bed!

When you cry at ANYTHING! Happy tears, sad tear, angry tears….all moods now involve tears.
Sitting on the couch wearing underwear and a big t-shirt sounds much better then doing anything else any day of the week!

You realize you actually DO have a lot of clothes now that you can't wear any of them! And I thought I had trouble finding something to wear PRE-pregnancy.

Your nickname has changed to momma/preggo/etc by all friends and coworkers.

When deciding what to eat for dinner, everyone looks at you and says "what are YOU hungry for/craving?" I’m really going to miss this one J

When you wake up in the middle of night to either pee or get rid of the charley horse. OUCH

ALL of the above are SO true! Too funny sometimes!

Weekly Update time:

How far along? 25 weeks

Total weight gain/loss:? I haven't jumped on the scale and prob not going to until next dr appt.

Maternity clothes?I bought my first maternity clothes this week! I bought a pair of pants and 2 shirts. Haven't tried them on yet because I bought them online. Hopefully they come in today!

Stretch marks? I think I found one! It's tiny but it's THERE!!!! (sad face)

Sleep: This week has been pretty good with sleep. I was EXTREMELY tired on Wednesday, like my eyes were burning tired. But I fixed it with a nap after work.

Best moment this week: The husband felt Sophia kick for the first time!!!! So exciting and precious

Movement: Oh yea!

Food cravings: Still just Easter candy...mainly jolly rancher jelly beans. There's officially no more in my easter basket :(

Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? Flattening out

What I miss: This week I didn't get too much walking/jogging in. I couldn't really breathe because of the heat (and there's a little girl taking over my lung space!)

What I am looking forward to: Dressing Sophia up in the CUTEST outfits!

Weekly Wisdom: The Queen of Spain is named Sofia. Just a little fact for ya

Milestones: The husband feeling our little girl kick!

Sophia is now the size of an eggplant! Can you believe she's about 1.5-2 lbs now?! Me neither. That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby's learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

Thankful Thursday

I am trying to start blogging a little more so I've started "Wordless Wednesday" & "Thankful Thursdays". There may be more to follow but this is good for now.

What I'm thankful for this week:
-I am thankful for my wonderful husband who has been my rock throughout this pregnancy. He is so supportive and interested in every ache/pain/movement I feel. Our relationship bond has grown stronger by the day and I can't imagine my life without him.

-I am thankful for our healthy little girl growing inside me.

-I am thankful for being pregnant...pregnancy truly is a miracle and I’m amazed by it daily.

-I am thankful for my amazing family and friends.

-I am thankful for bagels & cream cheese. I’ve had one every morning this week.

-I am thankful that I found a drawer at work this morning stuffed with Easter candy. I was really starting to worry about what I would do when the Jolly Rancher jelly beans ran out.

-I am thankful for this beautiful day God has given us, even though I’ll spend it indoors at work.

Easter Weekend!

Happy Good Friday & Earth Day Peeople! I was reading an article about ways we could help keep our earth healthy and wanted to share my favorites: Eat bugs, Buy beer by the Keg, and Wash your hands with vodka and hair with salt water! Let’s get busy!

Speaking of favs, I also want to share some of my favorite comments I've gotten the past couple of weeks, but I won't share what my response because it's something a long the lines of “No Shit genius, that’s usually what happens." Hehe ;)
1. “You’re getting bigger!”
2. “I can see your belly through your clothes!”
3. “Just wait, it gets worse”

This week has been an experiment in our house. We’ve been leaving our 1 year old dog, Rome, out of his crate for the past 2-3 weeks and everything was starting to go so well. We would find our bed pillows out in the living room but no damage done to them. I guess he was just trying to do some rearranging, right? Well, yesterday I come home and the pocket of our pool table was chewed off! Back in the crate Rome went, so he can think about what he did! ;) I think Bella enjoys her days much better when Rome is in his crate. He’s such a monster I tell ya…but a cute one. He went rummaging through our trash the other day and got gum stuck in his hair.

The Damage and the guilty one, with gum in his hair

This weekend should fun-packed! Being EASTER weekend, there will be lots of good times with friends and family!

Weekly update! We’ve been doing so well this week, with an exception to some aches & pains.

How far along? (24 weeks) 6 months!!!! Whoop whoop

Total weight gain/loss: No additional weight gain this week. My Buddha belly is growing though!

Maternity clothes? Nope...maaaaybe this weekend? UGH

Stretch marks? Nope

Sleep: My legs have been cramping and waking me up at all hours of the night.

Best moment this week: We’re going to start our registry this weekend!

Movement: Yes, a lot of movement this week

Food cravings: Nothing new this week.

Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? Flattening out

What I miss: Buttoning my pants, boohoo

What I am looking forward to: Working out hardcore again.

Weekly Wisdom: God is good, count your blessings.

Milestones: We’ve made it 6 months! YAY Let’s all celebrate with some sparking grape juice! ;)

Sophia is now the size of a Papaya! Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, her newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow.

Back to where we were

I know I just posted 2 days ago, but I want to get back on track with my weekly Friday posts. This is what my week has looked like:

Easter candy galore in my work office kitchen! EVIL, especially for all my coworkers who are trying to loss weight. Muhahaha. For the record, I only ate 3 Reese eggs all week...my stomach hasn't been up-to-par the past couple days. I've been getting sick (throwing up) early evening , around 4-5pm. I'm fine after about an hour or so but it's been no bueno. For dinner last night all I wanted was a bowl of Soup, so minestrone it was!

I do have a new obsession: Black pepper & Sea Salt Pretzels! Yummay! AND I'm reading a new non-baby book! Bitter is the New Black by Jen Lancaster..only on page 30 or so but it's pretty funny! And something to read besides all the "What to expect" type books.

Weekly stats...shall we?
How far along? 23 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +16 lbs!....hahaha Doctor said I was perrrrfect! ;)
Maternity clothes? Nope, but I got a new Tummy sleeve today! My scrubs for work are starting to get tighter....I was hoping I could stick it out without buying new ones before June! WAHH I hate buying scrubs.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Takes me awhile to get that "perfect spot" but once I find it, I'm gooood!
Best moment this week: Hearing Sophia's heartbeat & the doc telling me everything is looking GREAT!
Movement: Yes, feels funny. Sometimes I'm like, "whoa..there you are!"
Food cravings: My delish pretzels pictured above and breakfast foods!
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: NO
Belly Button in or out? Flattening out
What I miss: Being able to breath, and it's only going to get worse! Can I put an oxygen tank on my registry?! ;) Also, being able to bend/stretch with out looking like I'm having a back spasm.
What I am looking forward to: Putting together the nursery....soooon! I've bought a few things.
Weekly Wisdom: I'll be back to normal sooner than later. Talking about my body here...
Milestones: Getting through another doctor's appointment with an A+! Next appt is my glucose/diabetes test.

Big Girls DO cry

This past weekend Angelo & I drove down to Miami to have a nice relaxing weekend. I really enjoy mini vacations with just the two of us, especially now that Sophia is on her way into our lives!

Doggies went to grandma & grandpa's house! Rome likes to act like a seatbelt for Bella. He wants to make sure she's secure on car rides.

We saw a Miami Heat game on Friday night.

We hung out in South Beach all Saturday and then went to see Shawn & Marlon Wayans at the West Palm Beach Improv.

It was a fabulous weekend to say the least! I truly LOVE every minute I spend with Angelo!

So... now to the pregnant side of life.
A lot of different things have been making me get a little teary eyed, but some things just make me flat out cry for no reason and then I can’t stop until I look at myself in the mirror and realize I look ridiculous. Nobody looks cute when they cry…I know it’s because of the pregnancy hormones because usually I’ll just say, “Wow that’s really touching/sad/crazy/etc”, and move on with my life. Side note: I hate the word preggo because it makes me feel like I’m comparing this baby in my belly with pasta sauce.
Anyways, here we go…Things that made me cry this week:

Carrie Underwood’s Song
"Since the day they got married
He'd been praying for a little baby boy
Someone he could take fishing
Throw the football and be his pride and joy
He could already see him holding that trophy
Taking his team to state
But when the nurse came in with a little pink blanket
All those big dreams changed.
And now he's wrapped around her finger
She's the center of his whole world
And his heart belongs to that sweet little beautiful, wonderful, perfect all-American girl."

And this video!

Adopt people! Adopt, Adopt, Adopt!

Enough with the sob story...
Weekly update! Sorry it’s about 4 days late, I’m a slacker when it comes to balancing my blog updates and vacation!

How far along are you?: 22 weeks, 5 days

How big is baby?: Baby's now the size of a papaya!

Weight gain/loss?: About 15 lbs (don’t judge), I gained almost 3 pounds just this past weekend which all the good/bad food we ate in Miami.

Stretch marks?: Nope

Maternity clothes?: Still just sporting the TummySleeve/BellyBand. I actually LOST it this weekend and had to button my pants on Friday night! Most uncomfortable thing evvaa! My shorts still button up with no problem so I made my wardrobe all about shorts this past weekend.

Sleep?: I think I sleep very well! I wake up probably 2x a night just to get re-adjusted.

Best moment this week?: Spending a relaxing weekend with my husband.

Food cravings?: Candy…Easter candy is the BEST!

Gender?: Princess

Movement?: Yep lots of movement here and there. No kicking yet, that I know of?

Belly button?: Still there, but getting flatter though. I can see my scar from my belly ring. Does anyone still even have a belly button ring? Wait, I know someone who does ;) I always tell her its soooooooo 2002. haha

Symptoms?: My legs ache!!

What do I miss?: My absolute favorite drink is in Miami at the Fontainebleau and well, I couldn’t have it this past weekend. L It’s a strawberry champagne cocktail thing. I think I drank 12 of them last Labor Day in Miami.

What I'm looking forward to this week? We have a doctor’s appointment this afternoon. I think I’m finally big enough for them to start measuring me! And we get to hear little Sophia’s heartbeat again, which is always fun!

Baby Sophia is the size of a papaya! Baby's settling into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day.

Wedding Bells

This weekend is going to be the first “busy” weekend since I’ve been pregnant. My friend Jill is getting married and I’m in the wedding! Tonight is the rehearsal dinner, tomorrow the wedding, and Sunday there is a brunch. We didn’t get a hotel room because we live about 20 minutes away from the venue and since I obviously won’t be drinking, I didn’t see the big deal of having to just drive back and forth. I wonder how I will feel…tired & achy? The beginning of this week was really exhausting for me. I could barely keep my eyes open at 5:30pm on Wednesday. I don’t think the rainy weather helped either! Thankfully it’s supposed to be sunny all weekend! I feel better already!

I took a picture of what I’m eating as I type this (lunchtime) just to let you guys know I’m not being a total junk food eating garbage disposal. I really don’t see much weight gain anywhere else except my boobs and belly. For some reason, I feel like I have to justify every pound gained. Someone check me into a mental hospital. So anyways, here's my sad looking turkey sandwich and salad.

So earlier this week I designed Sophia’s nursery! So much fun! Colors will be pink, teal, and brown. With a "bird/spring" type theme. I can’t wait to start painting and buying stuff! My Hubs wants to wait until May to buy the nursery furniture because it will just be sitting sad and lonely for so many months. I guess the buying/painting won’t begin for another couple of weeks. Thankfully these next 2 weekends are booked with plans, so I won’t go absolutely bonkers. Here's my little inspiration design board. Hope you LOVE it!

Weekly Report!

Stretch marks? No thankfully
Sleep: Lovin’ it. Found my comfort position for the time being.

Movement: yes
Food cravings: Nothing specific
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: none
Belly Button in or out? In but I can tell it’s getting a little flatter
